Dear Friends, Supporters and Participants of the Annual Indian King Tavern Museum Skirmish:
News has come that the Redcoats have fled the area. Instead of joining us in a Skirmish accompanied by a wonderful day of history and community, they have decamped elsewhere. However, their action ensures they will return to fight another day.
Therefore, the annual June 6, 2020 Skirmish in Haddonfield has been postponed to June 4, 2022. The debate between Jefferson and Hamilton on May 14 is also postponed, date TBD.
But seriously, over the past few days we have been carefully weighing the pros and cons of moving our upcoming event, The Skirmish.
While we are optimistic the threat of Coronavirus will not be here too long, we are certainly mindful that the threat and its impact may take some time to abate and felt it best to use that time to continue to plan so that come June 2022, everyone is prepared and ready for a spectacular event. Most important is the health, safety and wellbeing of our staff, community, reenactors, supporters and local businesses and organizations.
Stay tuned for more information as we continue our efforts toward the 2022 Skirmish and please stay connected with Indian King Tavern Museum through our website www.indiankingfriends.org and Facebook page – Friends of the Indian King Tavern. We all shall continue the good fight to skirmish another day.
